Baycliffe Farm Breaking & Pre-Training Yard

Situated near the village of Maiden Bradley, nestled in the Deverills just a few miles from the A303 in the stunning South West Wiltshire Downs, Baycliffe Farm is the thoroughbred breaking and pre-training yard for professionals in racing.

The all-weather training facilities include a sweeping round mile and a half gallop, a separate straight four and a half furlong gallop (both grass and all-weather) and a spacious, modern indoor riding school with a sand and rubber surface.

Baycliffe also have a pair of hydrotherapy spas which are essential for helping to speed up the healing process for horses with leg problems or injuries, an eight bay horse walker, starting stalls, national hunt fences & hurdles, 30 stables and over 100 acres of paddocks and woodland. The yard and stables are monitored by CCTV and staff live on site.

Baycliffe offer expertise in all areas of pre-training, breaking and convalescence, and our success rate speaks for itself. Aaim to Prosper, trained at Baycliffe Farm, made history in October 2012 by becoming the first horse to win the Cesarewitch at Newmarket twice in the 173 year history of the race.

Leading trainers who send horses for individual attention to Baycliffe Farm include Mick Channon, David Elsworth, Alan King, Brian Meehan, Charlie Mann. The numerous owners and others who already support us include leading horse sales consigner Paul Thorman.
